Prince of Storms
The Domain of Storms, also known as the Tempest Domain, the Ocean Domain or similarly contains anything within the ocean and the weather it creates for the rest of the world. This domain is seen as one of the utmost important as weather, like it or not, has a great impact upon the days of everyone in the world. Everyone gets agitated at rain, may be scared of thunder, or can have their livelyhoods burned down by a single lightning strike.
Current Prince
The prince last known to be the Prince of Storms is one fittingly named Riane, a name derived from the word "Rain". This Princess of Storms was in her mortal life a sailor, who enjoyed tracking across the vast expanses of the ocean never once since departing for the ocean setting foot upon land again. Though far from a virteous person as she was prodominantly a pirate she was still very well respected among sailors and others who value the ocean.
Common Worshippers
Common worshippers of this prince are those who dwell on and in the ocean. Sailors, pirates, sellswords, fishers, and most of the seafolk believe in this deity and count her among the most valued of Princes. She is prayed to to grant good weather and she is often associated with blessing fishing trips. To those who are evil she is believed to smite them down so those who do follow her are often neutral or good.
Religion
There are those who believe in the god themselves, though the largest organised religion that has this prince as their chief deity is that of the Aquarius Alliance or the Aquarius Empire. That particular religion enhabits the following tenents:
- Astrology
- The night sky is our window into the realm of the divine. The great secrets and mysteries of the world are written there, open for all to learn if they know where to look.
- Unrelenting Faith
- Our convictions are strong, and we will gladly fight and die for our faith. No matter how badly the odds are stacked against us, we shall not surrender.
Culture
Cultures that hold the virtues of this prince in mind are often those where hard work is the most rewarded. Those who seek to do no work of their own and just piggyback off of others' hard work will not achieve what they truly want. Those belonging to such a culture need to find a purpose and stick with it, perfecting their skills and abilities over time. Dwarves are often associated with this type of culture, perfecting their craft of smithing.
