Prince of Madness

The Domain of Madness is exactly as it sounds, a place for lunatics and other people of crazed natures to congregate and be themselves. Though the idea of having a domain dedicated entirely to madness seems foolish it has its own purpose in life, as in certain cases this level of insanity might make certain people better at what they do.

Current Prince

The current ruler of the Domains of Madness was previously one of its higher lords. A band of unnamed adventurers had made their way into the realms and slain its then ruler Risla Cane who was until then the princess of madness. This proves the existence of Ascension Theory.

Prince Ferrack has taken over the domains after the heroes assisted him to take power by leaving him alive and slaying his prince, showing that those who encourage deceit and tretchery are not immune to its effects.

Common Worshippers

As the practice of this kind of religion is often criminal and grounds for execution not many people who believe in this faith reveal themselves. Occurances in history show that often powerful and power-hungry individuals find their way among the cults ranks. Misguided and misunderstood teenagers, are another common target. Those who are paranoid are the easiest targets and those who seek to communicate with entities beyond our own world also easily fall prey to the domains of madness and its prince and lords.

Religion

Those who follow the prince of madness are rare, but always part of a strictly decicated cult specifically created by the Lords of Madness to obtain followers for their prince. This organised faith often mimics other beliefs and faiths on the outside, showing itself as a stand-up religion people want to become a part of, and through lies and deceit the people that become a part of this cult unknowingly get converted and indoctrinated into a true scheme of madness. The tenants of this faith embody the following:

Sacred Lies
Lying is the most profound art in existence. Those who can convince others of their lie are holy. Those who can successfully lie to themselves are unstoppable.
Ritual Cannibalism
Mankind is blessed to have been bestowed with the spark of the divine. Human flesh is therefore sacred, its presence something to be savored, not buried or burned.
Sacrifical Ceremonies
Human sacrifice both voluntary and involuntary bring us closer to the divine. It is customary and virtuous for one to volunteer to sacrifice oneself in ceremony, just as it is virtuous to sacrifice those who have committed unforgivable crimes against the Gods.
